Road Freight Operator of the Year Goes to Logistics Group for Third Time in a Row

Consecutive Titles for Well Known Haulier at Multimodal Event

UK – After success at the last two year's events road haulage and logistics group Maritime Transportwere always going to come back to the 2018 iteration of the Multimodal show and, once again, the company collected the 'Road Freight Operator of the Year' title, making it the third consecutive year it has picked up the accolade at the Freight Transport Association (FTA) Awards, on the first evening of the event in Birmingham.

Multimodal gave Maritime, best known for its container haulage services, the opportunity to connect directly with its clients over the three days and to discuss opportunities with other businesses from across the UK and beyond. Simon Smart, Maritime’s Managing Director – Containers, enthused over the event, saying:
“Multimodal has always been a fantastic opportunity for us to meet with existing customers, and to see how we can benefit new ones. We’ve come away from the event with some amazing feedback, and we’re really looking forward to working even harder towards developing our relationships with the people we work with.”

The highlight for the company had to be that award, which was presented by international cricketer Geoff Miller OBE and was the result of voting by thousands of Multimodal Newsletter readers, as well as FTA members and Multimodal exhibitors and their customers, prompting Maritime Group Managing Director, John Williams, to say:
“We were extremely pleased to receive the award for the second time last year, so to receive it for a third time was incredible, and fantastic recognition of our efforts over the past year. We’ve been working tirelessly to improve as the business and our customer base grows, ensuring the solutions we offer and the services we provide remain unparalleled.”
