Very Large Ore Carrier struck Post-Panamax container ship, Taiwan

Very Large Ore Carrier CHINA STEEL INNOVATOR struck the stern of berthed container ship EVER LADEN at 0940 LT (+ 8 UTC) Jun 19, while maneuvering in Kaohsiung Harbor, Taiwan, on arrival from Australia with cargo of ore. Both ships sustained damages, see photos. VLOC dropped both anchors trying to avoid collision, and though she couldn’t stop in time, at least dropped anchor slowed down her speed, mitigating damages. Cause of accident yet unknown. Video https://tw.appledaily.com/new/realtime/20180619/1375812/
