From Monday (16th July), ABP’s Hull Container Terminal (HCT) will be open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.
The increased opening hours have been introduced to meet the growing demand at the terminal. The enhancement will further reduce haulier waiting times whilst offering further flexibility for customers operating around the clock.
Operations at HCT continue to grow and the terminal has recently benefitted from a series of continuous improvements and investment since ABP took over operation of the terminal in 2016.
The terminal now benefits from four new Liebherr ship-to-shore gantry cranes and boasts three berths capable of mooring vessels up to 199m in length.
With average dwell times for collections and deliveries at just 25 minutes and an abundance of berth capacity available, the terminal is well positioned for further future growth.
At present, HCT has 13 sailings per week with direct connections calling from Rotterdam, Ghent, Amsterdam, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.

The terminal will be open 24/6 from Monday 16th July and will close each Saturday at 2100 hrs, to reopen at 0500 hrs on Sundays.
