This is, I believe, the first time these photos have been published on the web, having been taken by my friend Bill Burton of Hobart, Tasmania.
Bill left Tasmania to find his fortune in England in 1965 and ended up as an AB on this beautiful ferry. He later returned to Australia and worked in the airline industry until his retirement.
Launched on 03/10/1963 and completed during January 1964 by Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardson, Wallsend on Tyne, England (2001)
2,756 g.t. and 1,701 dwt., as:
'Gaelic Ferry' and remained under this name untill she arrived at Kaohsiung, Taiwan on 23/02/1988 for demolition.
