Chris Lewis, DP World’s UK Chief Executive Officer has announced that he will retire next year. We wanted to share this news with you, our customers and stakeholders, because many of you may have worked with him or know of him from his illustrious 35 years in the ports and shipping.
Building on an already extensive career within the port industry, Chris has been with DP World for 8 years; first as CEO of DP World Southampton before moving into his UK role with responsibility for both DP World Southampton and DP World London Gateway.
In a letter to customers Chris said:
“DP World has an extremely strong team in the UK and I am confident that with the new CEO, it will continue to work closely with you to ensure we deliver high levels of customer service to meet your requirements.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and friendship over the years. This industry is very challenging and never boring, but I have always enjoyed the humour!”
Chris will remain with DP World until April 2019 to ensure a smooth handover to his successor.
