MSC container ship breached in allision, oil leak, Turkey

Container ship MSC KATYAYNI allided with pier while maneuvering to berth at around 0800 LT Nov 19 at Yilport, Diliskelesi, Turkey, Marmara sea. Ship’s hull was breached portside in fuel tank area above waterline, with ensuing fuel leak. The ship was fenced by booms, cleansing operation was launched. It is not known yet what caused an accident.
