Made.com secures warehouse at DP World London Gateway Logistics Park

MADE.COM, the leading European design brand, today announces that it has signed the lease for a new 165,000 sq ft distribution centre based at the DP World London Gateway Logistics Park in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex.
MADE.COM’s new larger site will replace its current distribution centre near Ipswich and will allow the business to take greater control of its service to UK customers.
MADE’s addition of increased capacity in the UK follows a sustained period of growth which saw the company post a 37% increase in revenue last year. The new site forms part of MADE.COM’s growing European wide warehousing portfolio.
DP World London Gateway Logistics Park is a flexible, scalable facility for the development and occupation of warehousing and logistics services, located just 30 miles from Central London.
It is adjacent to DP World London Gateway Port, one of the fastest growing, best connected container ports in the world. This fully integrated logistics site is connected to the rest of the UK and Europe by road, rail and sea.
Frédéric Beltoise, Global Operations Director of MADE.COM, commented: “As a digital-first business, we are deeply invested in the quality of our unique products and ensuring that our customers have the best possible experience when shopping with us. As well as adding long term capacity for growth, this new site enables us to continue building the exceptional customer experience that has been so key to our success to date.”
Oliver Treneman, Logistics Park Development Director said: “We are delighted to welcome MADE.COM to the Logistics Park. We firmly believe that our own growth plans and ability to add value coincide smartly with MADE.COM’s own ambitions. We look forward to building on the relationship to ensure this forward-thinking retailer can operate an efficient operation from this site, enabling it to deliver the very best service to its London-based customers’ front doors.”
