Bulk carrier gangway collapsed, 2 died, Colombia

2 died in an accident involving collapsed gangway of bulk carrier SUZAKI, berthed at Santa Marta, Colombia, at night May 5. Reportedly, gangway contacted pier constructions, during coal loading. Not clear if the ship was shifting along berth, or it was cargo loading equipment shift. Burmese crew and docker died after falling with collapsed gangway.

Bulk carrier SUZAKU, IMO 9317377, dwt 54881, built 2006, flag Panama, manager SANTOKU SENPAKU CO LTD, Japan (EQUASIS).
