The photos below are borrowed from the "Gantry Cranes" FB page, and are said to depict a straddle carrier that went over at the HHLA container terminal at Hamburg, Germany. It's the oldest and largest terminal at that port city.

We understand that the accident occurred last night night (03 May), and are awaiting information that reveals how the straddle carrier went over (likely speed). The condition of the operator has been offered as being everything from "OK", to "seriously injured" (i.e., "Er ist Schwer Verletzt. Aber er lebt!") ["He's seriously injured. But he lives!"]

Within comments below, we provide links to translated local media accounts which also relate information about this accident

We welcome the comments of any additional members of this page from the Hamburg area. Should those members wish to remain completely anonymous, they should feel free to send me private messages. Your identities will be fully protected.
