Felixstowe Dockers On Tour

Auschwitz here we come

Only another 400 miles then it’s time tor ALCOHOL

This is the story so far, 2 days, just under a thousand miles, 8 fuel stops, testing the beast and loving the lack of speed limits in Germany ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£, you cross the polish border and your on a road with more filler and ripples and bumps than a tart off love island, then when you finally hit good roads, your hit with thunder, lightning, horizontally driven rain with a side wind, cars just stopping because they can’t see jack, then you stop because your common sense kicks in, oh waterproof time, you get the picture but we made it, so thanks to Richard, Richard, Vaughn and Peter, in the morning we hit it hard, salt mines, Shandler museum but no bikes for 2 days ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£

I was not prepared, neither were the others for what we saw today, I will admit that I saw things that made me cry, and walked out of a building and gather my thoughts, I wasn’t alone doing the same, it was the children’s shoes that broke me, it’s very soul testing and thought provoking, and it’s one of the most surreal places I’ve ever been, I’ve seen things before and paying the price, but this place is moving beyond words, we spent more time in the camps than the victims, so big thanks to Richard, Richard, Vaughn and Peter, meant to me

Where is the coke bottle ??

Now at Nijmegen, alcohol is flowing, tomorrow morning it’s Pegasus Bridge, Vaughn took a little detour ðŸ¤£ but it’s been a brilliant 6 days, if your having a bad day, trust me, I’d forget it, because we realised what life is really about, Auschwitz broke me, broke a few of us, but we appreciate and I’m looking at life in a different way, a massive thank you to RichardPeter, Vaughn, and Richard Farrow for a great week, over 2000 miles, brilliant memories, laughs and sore arse’s, 5 countries, 9 fuel stops, and everything else, thanks guys, where next year

Jay Lorenz

Home ward bound after over 2400 miles, 6 countries in 6 days, we achieved everything we planned and realised what we have now, and how it can be taken away in an instant, hold on to what you’ve got at all cost, fight for it, regardless how hard it is, fight with everything you have, cherish it with no limits, because the stories we heard, things we saw, they did not have that choice....you do, we made brilliant memories, with great friends
