It's our understanding that over the weekend a tragedy was narrowly avoided, when a straddle carrier being operated on the dock at Port Elizabeth, NJ nearly tumbled over the stringpiece and into Elizabeth Channel.


It's our understanding that over the weekend a tragedy was narrowly avoided, when a straddle carrier being operated on the dock at Port Elizabeth, NJ nearly tumbled over the stringpiece and into Elizabeth Channel.

While the results of official investigations will obviously take precedence, anecdotal reports coming from workers there are mentioning operator fatigue as a likely cause.
