The #A14 is still closed Eastbound, east of #BuryStEdmunds between Sainsbury's Junction (J44) and close to the Rougham turn off (J45) due to a collision. Recovery is currently taking place. Please avoid the area and take an alternative route.

One driver has received treatment for a suspected broken leg and the other driver is uninjured.

Several drivers have been seen videoing the scene of the collision from the opposite carriageway. Officers will be taking registrations and looking to prosecute any they see.

The A14 in Suffolk is closed eastbound between J44 (Moreton Hall) and J45 (Rougham) due to a road traffic collision involving two Heavy Goods Vehicles. Suffolk Police and emergency services are currently in attendance. As a result of the collision there has also been a spillage of fertiliser, diesel and oil in the carriageway. The carriageway closure is expected to remain in place until at least 9pm for clear-up and recovery work. 
Road users are being diverted via the following route. Exit the A14 at J43 (St Saviours) and follow the A143 through Great Barton to the A1088 roundabout at Ixworth. At the roundabout take the fourth exit and continue on the A1088 through Stowlangtoft and Norton then re-join the A14 at J47 (Woolpit).

Road users are also advised to allow extra time for their journey.
