We welcome Unite and the Dockers from the ports of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland into our growing family.

IDC International Dockworkers Council
As we know there is only one international organisation/movement of dockworkers, International Dockworkers Council, the IDC.

It was founded in 2000 after the brutal attack on the dockworkers of Liverpool.

Today we heard about the affiliation of Unite the Union of the UK into the IDC.

This is again a big step forward for this movement of dockers. Many thanks to Andy Green for his efforts and work for the dockworkers in the UK.

Dockworkers worldwide are being attacked since many years in every continent of the planet. Because of all the attacks it's not a coincidence that IDC has doubled its affilations the last few years under the Coordination of Jordi Aragunde Miguens, who has done an amazing job for all of us.

As the IDC has become a powerful tool and with the election of the new General Coördinator Dennis Daggett, it would be great to make again a big strong fist to all those who are attacking the dockers worldwide and the working class in general.
We will never walk alone again!
