The 14 year old Maersk Utah prepares to depart Felixstowe Trinity 6. The services had to come from the inbound Vayenga Maersk. Once the tugs had been stood down they moved along the Terminal to standby the Utah. The mooring gang and the pilot drives up and the pilot boards the rusty old tub. Once onboard the pilot radios Harwich VTS to say he was onboard with a maximum draught of 9m for her next port of Antwerp. Shortly after the tugs confirm they were all fast on the centre lead fore and aft. Svitzer Deben makes fast centre lead aft while the Svitzer Kent makes fast centre lead forward.

Both tugs ease her off the fenders and into the channel. As the pilot runs the engine ahead a huge plume of thick black smoke pours from her funnel. Kent eases and drops in ahead to a let go position. Kent peels off onto the Felixstowe side back to the tug pontoon. Deben closes up to the transom to let go from aft.
