Following the global spread of COVID-19, we are continually monitoring official guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO), the UK Government and Public Health England. We would like to highlight the following steps and decisions that have been taken over the last few days to further protect the health and safety of our team, whilst mobilising resources to ensure our customers continue to receive the high level of service they have come to expect from MSC UK:
- Phased implementation of home working for office based staff throughout the UK, ensuring we maintain essential service for our customers
- Effective from 5.30pm on Friday 20th March 2020, all regional offices (London, Liverpool and Glasgow) will be temporarily closed and will operate by remote working with support from our Ipswich HQ. All phone calls will be automatically redirected to either mobile devices, or diverted to Ipswich HQ, where your enquiries will be dealt with in the usual manner. - Those employees remaining in the Ipswich HQ office will be committing to social distancing of 2 metres based on official guidance;
- Temporary suspension of all external face-to-face meetings both within MSC offices and external premises
- Working with our industry partners, authorities and suppliers for best practice sharing and safeguarding of personnel throughout our businesses to keep the supply chains moving.
