The Felixstowe arrivals schedule has Seatruck Progress arriving from Dublin for Rotterdam on 6th September, with a return voyage from there a little later. I wonder if anyone knows what this indicates. She is a new ship,of 142m length. In the light of the imminent downsizing of the HPQ - Rotterdam service, could this be about to happen to the Vlaardingen route?

I saw Seatruck Progress on the FXT arrivals list, and noted that she is one of three newbuilds for Seatruck Ferries on the Irish Sea. I wonder why she is coming to FXT operating for DFDS ?

Seatruck Progress is on charter to DFDS for six weeks. For the first three weeks she will cover Suecia Seaways which is undertaking a voyage as part of the ARK project. When she returns Flandria Seaways will go into dry-dock, and Seatruck Progress will cover her. Flandria Seaways will be repainted into full DFDS colours.

Many thanks for this information. From the arrivals schedule it looked as though the Seatruck ship might join Flandria Seaways and that those two might operate the service alone, displacing Britannia and Suecia Seaways altogether. Given the events on the Ipswich and HPQ services to Rotterdam, one does wonder if that level of service would be all that is needed!
