Port Of Felixstowe Dock Basin Amenity Block R.I.P

This is the end of the old Dock Basin amenity block at the Port of Felixstowe. For many years it was the Ship Workers mess-room / the " clock in / out house " / The Ports Medical Centre with the upstairs being the canteen. Its last days were used for The Medical Centre including a Physiotherapy unit with the upstairs being run as a Gym for Port workers.

    Good job it did not have preservation order on it......it might have caught fire....

    Great memories for a lot of peeps in there, the camaraderie that existed in there was second to none, shame it's frowned upon nowadays.

    Lots of good times were had in this mess - room.

    Felixstowe Dock & Railway Co / TGWU Office will never R.I.P after the " fire".
