London Gateway gets first of 3 RMGs

From our sister site, Shipping TV: DP World's new London Gateway port, on the Thames estuary, has just received the first of 3 rail mounted gantry cranes due for delivery this year. It has also just confirmed the first shipping service due to make regular calls, SAECS, which is moving from Tilbury's London Container Terminal, just up the river . .

Every picture tells a story?

Does this CGI of London Gateway tell us anything about the identity of the first Asia-Europe carrier?
The picture was released on the Hyundai Forklifts website on 22 August, announcing a deal for 78 FLTs won by its UK dealer Acclaim from DP World for the London Gateway logistics park.
The SAECS consortium has announced it is switching from Tilbury to London Gateway, but this is north-south business. No key via Suez customers have yet been disclosed.
Is this just poetic licence on the part of Hyundai Forklift?

  1. Hi! Sorry - but this isn't a CGI of Gateway, its a shot of another DP World port elsewhere. Container stacks are the wrong layout for Gateway.
    Best wishes

  2. Yes you are right Chris - it is a promo picture that Hyundai Forklifts released showing a Hyundai ship on a berth. Whatever I print on here I am very careful as to not change the text / content. Thanks for picking it up.
