WATCH: Sneak Peek at Discovery Channel’s Triple-E Special


The Discovery Channel has been working with Maersk Line on a documentary on the construction of the world’s largest ship, Maersk Line’s new 18,000 TEU Triple-E. Here’s a sneak peak at a portion of the special, which as of yet has not been given a release date.
The document the construction, Discovery Channel was granted exclusive access to film every part of the build; from the design of the vessels unique hull to the construction of the Triple-E’s enormous engines and propellers, from the environmental improvements and safety systems to the ship’s naming ceremony and maiden voyage on the Asia-Europe route. All angles relating to the ships design, build and launch will be covered – with many sequences even in 3D.
