Maritime Transport features in a new series, 'Global Logistics and Transport News' produced by ITN on the logistics and transport industry. Introduced by Natasha Kaplinsky, the video is one of a number specially commissioned for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) to raise awareness of the logistics and transport industry and highlight the latest thinking in the industry.
Maritime has recently taken part-delivery of its largest ever order of 600 Dennison slider skeletal trailers, to service their container transport operations. The order consists of two types of sliding bogie skeletals. The first delivery of 327 has a standard neck depth, with the latest trailers coming with a low-neck depth, offering increased payload and reduced carbon footprint. "Dennsion are one of the leading manufacturers of semi-trailers," said Derek Daly, Maritime Fleet Director. "We have worked closely with their management team to develop a spec that meets our business requirements."
