OVER-THE-ROAD TRUCKMAN FATALLY INJURED AT MARINE TERMINAL [N. CHARLESTON, SC ~ 11 DECEMBER 2015] Posted by Retired Felixstowe Dockers Get link Facebook Twitter Pinterest Email Other Apps Last Friday (11 December), in the later hours of the afternoon at the North Charleston (South Carolina) Marine Terminal, an over-the-road truck driver by the name of Derek Boyd was out of his tractor; presumably looking into the RTG stacks (at the terminal’s BM/BN Rows) for a container he was to pick up. While doing so, he was the victim of a hit and run type of event. He was found lying in a roadway with traumatic injuries. An ambulance was summoned and he was rushed to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he died. South Carolina State Ports Authority police have been circulating flyers (see above), asking for relevant information from any potential source. https://www.blueoceana.com/?cat=1 Comments
