Twinlift legs don't just lift up by themselves. There are mechanical as well as electrical interlocks. Of the twistlocks are engaged and the spreader landed fully then the landing indication pins physically lock the twistlocks and prevent them from unlocking for as long as there is a load on the twistlocks. But, if you didn't have twinlift engaged in the beginning, you would be able to hoist the two containers until the outer twistlocks deform and the containers sag in the middle. That isually wedges them good and solid in the cell guides. Then you need to use side-lock chains to pull the containers up in the middle and re-engage the twin lift twistlocks.

Hey Jef , im standing on the spreader and everything looks fine from here , just pull buddy ! Lol

Problaby not a good idea to hang out on the spreader like that.
Not possible to lock the twistlocks if the ttds sensors activates unless it is being bypassed by the operator or got malfunction.

Electrical and electronics circuit proximity sensor interlocks for the twistlock @" lock position"is incomplete there will be no hoisting motion at all either it is twin or single type of spreader..thats safety protection unless the circuit control was overide by the operator or technician.
