A video published recently by the Hamburg Port Authority looks at an expansion project taking place at the Vorhafen, near the south bank of the River Elbe, which will enable larger vessels to sail through its entrance.
Construction workers are aiming to move a total of one million cubic metres of dirt in order to make docking and undocking in the Vorhafen area easier and allow for easier manoeuvring of container ships.
