Container Logistics Group Further Invests in Reefer Technology

Pentalver Adds to Existing Cold Chain Portfolio

UK – Pentalver, the ‘do anything with containers’ group has further invested in its reefer sector with the purchase of new generator sets for its Felixstowe facility. The company, which not only transports and stores shipping containers but repairs them and constructs bespoke boxes to order, has bought the 69RG15 series Gensets from US headquartered Carrier Transicold
The ten sets are constructed using the latest technology in autonomous power supply for ISO containers. The units include an electronic governor system that provides near-constant engine speed, which results in more stable voltage output. The powerful, reliable; low- maintenance field wound generator produces 460 volts of continuous current and is constructed with all electrics wired internally to provide superior resistance to moisture and salt.

Pentalver says that dedicated reefer services are a key area of business growth for the group which operates from four depots strategically located at the UK’s deep water ports, plus an inland port facing facility at Cannock. The new, additional units add to a UK wide fleet operating in a network supporting the movement of temperature controlled goods imported and exported from the UK. Chief Operating Officer Shaun Allen commented:
“The investment is in line with the Pentalver Group policy to be at the forefront of temperature controlled container business, as part of an array of infrastructure services provided to the UK’s Container Supply Chain sector.“
