Fremantle Ports is entering an exciting period of change and transformation, as it strives towards its new vision to become Australia’s best maritime gateway through the implementation of a new five year business plan.
A unique opportunity now exists for an individual to join the Bulk Business Branch in the position of Stevedore Foreman, reporting to the Manager Operations (Outer Harbour). As the successful applicant, you will work on a shift roster whilst supervising a team of Stevedores to ensure the efficient and safe provision of Stevedoring services to our customers.
Leading a team of Stevedores, you will ensure that duties are undertaken in accordance with operational requirements as well as coordinating the allocation of team labour and equipment. Other duties of this position consist of the accurate & timely completion of administrative records and assistance in the provision of services to Bulk Operations which will include operating heavy machinery such as cranes, conveyors, loaders and other mobile equipment.
We are looking for a safety conscious leader who has demonstrated knowledge of Stevedoring operations within a heavy industry environment. To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in supervising a team, as well as a strong focus on internal & external customers. Your effective decision making skills will enable you to lead change and ensure the success of your team. It is essential for you to possess relevant qualifications, tickets and experience in operating plant & equipment.
