There is this morning a fatal accident occurred in the port of Antwerp. Cepa has distributed the following press release.
Cepa and Zuidnatie regret to have to report that this morning was killed around 11pm a 61-year-old longshoreman in an accident in the port of Antwerp. The victim worked at the quay when he was hit by a truck. He died on the spot.
The collision happened at quay 470 company Zuidnatie. Further research is needed to determine the exact circumstances were in which this unfortunate accident may happen. Our thoughts go to the family, friends and colleagues of the victim.
