We look forward to working with you in the years to come.  For the shipping industry 2016 has been a crazy year.  Back in February we saw yet another alliance reshuffle with CMA CGM and Cosco aligning to create “The Mega Alliance,” taking on 2M. Industry giant Maersk confirmed the acquisition of competitor Hamburg Süd taking its global market share to 18.6%. And in the midst we saw the 7th largest container line in the world declare bankruptcy, the near 30 year old carrier Hanjin Shipping.    Closer to home, it has been a roller coaster year for the Tuscor Lloyds family. Many of our friends and colleagues in the industry will relate to the turbulent times, but for us the highs have definitely outweighed the lows.  We received AEO certification in May, along with one of the companies most successful years at the Breakbulk exhibition in Antwerp. The awards continued into July, with our air freight department receiving IATA accreditation. In September, we celebrated World Maritime Day, gladly reminded by the IMO that shipping is indispensable to the world. Moving into autumn, we raised £344 for Macmillan Cancer Research with our coffee morning, a chance to open our doors and welcome surrounding businesses for a coffee and a piece of homemade cake. In fact it’s been a great year for making connections. We reached 2,000 followers on Twitter and had over 80,000 views on our website – with some of the most popular pages feature articles on our company blog. So what are you waiting for?
