Todays vessel accually had twistlocks ok for liftning.

Sure. Many SATLs have been manufactured and class approved to accommodate lifting (typically another MT container). In example, I'm attaching a circa-2002 BV/GL certificate that approves several of MacGregor's SATLs for lifting at a SWL of 12.5 tons each. In the U.S., OSHA will tolerate 2 empties connected vertically under strictly controlled conditions, In U.K., I don't believe such lifts are allowed at all, nor in Canada. What's it like at your port?

Vessel was MSC Oliver. And is sailing in one of the 2M lines with Maersk between Europe and Asia.

In Sweden, will regulators allow the lifting of vertically-connected containers?

Remove

we only lift 2 vertically-connected containers as a last resort if one or more of the twistlocks are impossible to open. But inte those cases we shut of the quey around the crane and no one is allowed in the ( riskzone ) during the lift.

Very good. Thank you
