In the old Trafford & Randall shop they took over from, they soon became the main hardware shop in Felixstowe. During the 1970’s the Thorogood and Stefan Families ran the business. In 1985 Roger Hewitt and his family took over the business and continued to run it for over 20 years until it changed hands in 2008 to current owners David Wyard, and brother in-law Paul Armbruster.
The store has gone through many expansions over the years but they continue to run their business as a friendly family run shop.
They stock a wide variety of products but are more than happy to help if all you need is that one special screw or bolt.
So from glass to timber, from decorating to tools, they have it all.
I saw an older customer come in with a broken piece of glass the day I was there. Within 5 minutes he was out the door with a new fresh cut to size replacement. Now thats service!

Paul Armbruster had a long career at The Port Of Felixstowe but left on good terms to start a new adventure.
This shop is one of the last " old school " hardware stores in this area. And if you take the time to look - most of their stock is cheaper than the out of town super stores
