From humble beginnings in small one room office in Manchester, UK, Tuscor Lloyds is now a world recognised company with offices in key transport hubs around the globe.
The year of our 20th anniversary has already been strong. In February 2014 we were named in the London Stock Exchange ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’, selected from a list of 4.5m British companies. Earlier this month Tuscor Lloyds was selected by the Greater Manchester Business Week (British newspaper) as one of North West England’s ‘Fastest 50’ growing companies.
The recognition we have received this year comes as no surprise. For the past 20 years Tuscor Lloyds have provided innovative and professionalshipping services to the market, from less than container load shipments through to huge project cargo shipments.
Not to be outdone, Tuscor Lloyds Mexico has been awarded ‘Carrier of the Year’ by one of its key customers, Walmart, beating several large shipping lines and forwarders to the accolade. The Spanish office continues to grow and expand in the toughest business environment for a generation, now operating 3 offices in the country. In the last 2 years the company has added Canada and Hong Kong to its portfolio of operational offices. The company group is growing steadily and sustainably overseas, with all branches being self-financing and independent.
We have become known in the industry for our ability to transport complex shipments of any size or weight to destinations around the globe. Over the years the company has built an impressive portfolio of customers, including our own peers. We often complete shipments on behalf of other forwarders and handle cargoes which they find particularly challenging or difficult. In recognition of our continuing innovation and service to the shipping industry, we were awarded the ‘Project / Heavy Lift Forwarder of the Year’ award at the Global Freight Awards in November.
The future is bright for Tuscor Lloyds. The expansion of core services and continuous innovation which made us stand out in our first 20 years will ensure the company will achieve even greater things in the next 20 years.
