i am sure it will improve the operators posture , but by moving the crane driver half a mile away how does that improve the safety of the guys working under the crane ? I would rather have the driver sitting above me when he moves the man carrier frame .
ReplyDeleteHaving just finished a shift, driving one of the biggest cranes in the world, on one of the smaller ships that visit the Port. Rolling hatch lids that obstruct the loading and unloading, Unable to see the tiny 'Pins' on the bottom of a rusty, 80ft, open hold, with no cell guides. The ship pitching from side to side as the containers make contact with the decks. Uneven loads causing the boxes to swing around with up to 5ft movement. My brain is numb and I'm knackered! This can be replaced with a 'Playstation Whizz Kid'. Get in the real world..........
