It's been linking Suffolk and Essex for over 100 years, but that could all stop as early as next month.
The owner of the ferry which runs between Shotley, Felixstowe and Harwich is retiring, and no-one has stepped forward to take it over.
The first boat ran in 1912, but a more permanent service named "The Brightlingsea" was inaugurated in 1925 and ran right up until 1991.
The "Explorer 12" has worked these waters for the last 15 years and for the past 11 years it's been run by Alan Sage.
