Maersk’s port operating unit APM Terminals (APMT) has confirmed that it asked three senior executives to quit their jobs for failing to follow internal policy.

The departed executives, who had been with the Maersk group for over 20 years, are Christian Moller Laursen, APM Terminals’ Vice President and CFO; Martin Gaard Christiansen, Chief Commercial Officer; and Michael Lund Hansen, Head of Global Project Implementation.

Commenting on the reason for their departure, Erik Eisenberg, APM Terminals Vice President for Communications in The Hague, said: “They have left as a consequence of not following internal policies.”
The news comes just days after APM Terminals posted a 2014 profit of US$900 million, according to the Journal of Commerce, a significant growth on the $770 million recorded in 2013.
