Christmas at the Port of Hamburg

A seasonal video released by the Hamburg Port Authority shows the Christmas traditions which take place at the Port of Hamburg.

For the last 19 years, the Port of Hamburg has been involved in the ‘Christmas Trees for Sailors’ initiative, which involves Father Christmas throwing Christmas trees directly onto the decks of ships for seafarers.
Ships also stay longer at the port during Christmas, and there are a total of 5 days throughout the year where no work is done.
