PORT OPERATATORS - HARWICH INTERNATIONAL PORT
PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS AT HARWICH INTERNATIONAL PORT NOT THE PORT OF FELIXSTOWE
We are currently looking to recruit Port Operators, to undertake all stevedoring duties for all positions in RoRo freight handling, general cargo handling, cruise and all support areas associated within operations of the port.
 Primary Functional Objectives of the role:
  • Mooring and un-mooring of all vessels
  • Move, Discharge and load all trade vehicles to ships and trains
  • Operate forklifts of all size
  • Operate internal movement vehicles with baggage brutes.

Applicants must have either the necessary skill to operate port machinery or the ability to be trained to the required standard. The position will involve working unsocial hours and weekends. Successful applicants will be expected to meet National Vocational standards.
Requirements
A current valid driving licence is essential and applicants must be able to climb and work at heights.
Subjects to Port Regulations, applicants must be age 21 or over.
