MSC UK MANAGING DIRECTOR NAMED PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR AT TRADE AWARDS

MSC UK’s Managing Director Dan Everitt has been awarded a prestigious honour by the freight industry.
The Suffolk businessman, who heads the UK headquarters of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, was named Freight Transport Association’s (FTA) ‘Multimodal Personality of the Year’ at an awards ceremony earlier this week.

Mr Everitt joined Ipswich based MSC as an office junior in 1984 and has been UK Managing Director for the last eight years. Born and raised in Ipswich, he has seen the company, which employs over 500 people locally in Suffolk, grow from strength to strength over the last 30 years.
Multimodal Director, Robert Jarvis, told an audience of over 600 decision makers at the Multimodal Awards gala dinner that Mr Everitt fully deserved the accolade.
“Everitt’s vision for the future of MSC is the continued promotion of a professional and dynamic organisation that places its staff and customers at the heart of its business.”
“As well as his obvious professional success, he is a thoroughly decent bloke who truly deserves this award.”
Mr Everitt said: “I feel enormously privileged to have been awarded this title at the Multimodal Awards. It’s a huge honour.
“People really are at the heart of our business in every sense. MSC is, and always has been, a place where you can learn, grow, and develop in a friendly and spirited way.”
The FTA Multimodal Awards were hosted by broadcaster John Sergeant and were held at the NEC’s VOX arena on the first day of the Multimodal 2016 show.
