The MSC Jade on her maiden voyage, departs Felixstowe berth 9 with the assistance of Svitzer Shotley at sunset. The MSC Jade can carry 19437 TEU (20ft standard containers) and weighs in at colossal 200148 tons when fully loaded. Inbound ferry Stena Hollandica passes through the harbour before the MSC Jade comes off the berth. The Stena Hollandica would have be delayed as container ships of this scale needs a clear channel out of the harbour because of their size and their draft. Svitzer Shotley performs a powered in-direct tow around the Beach End out of the harbour.
