This evening (Sunday), a crane collapsed onto a ship at the Port of Ashdod. Luckily, no one was injured. However, the ship was damaged. This is the second time in less than a week that a serious incident involving a collapsed crane has occurred in Israel.
Four people were injured last Monday when a crane collapsed in Bat Yam. In the security camera footage from the scene, the crane is seen suddenly collapsing onto a nearby parking lot and street. Among those injured in the incident were the crane operator and the man who was in a car that the crane smashed as it fell.
