https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKRRePXC8Ht1kPDQzoiaPmA The Stena Britannica departs Parkeston 2 berth using bow thrust and main engine.
As an ultra large container ship MSC Maya was arriving for Felixstowe berth 9, she had priority of swinging for the berth as MSC Maya had to have a clear run from 5&6 Buoys into the harbour.
Doors closed and ready to depart Parkeston Quay. Head and stern lines were released, very steadily she began to push away from the berth using bow thrust and the main engine. Shortly after swinging the bow out the skipper runs the main engines ahead to proceed out of the River Stour through the Harwich Haven via the Sunk to the Hoek van Holland.
